Realize Central Java Zero Brong Exhaust, Pekalongan City Police Raid 101 Motorcycles
JATENG - Pekalongan City Resort Police (Polres) secured 101 exhaust motorbikes that did not match the standards or brong during a raid ahead of the Great Brata operation for the 2024 General Election.
Pekalongan City Police Chief AKBP Recky Robertho said the firm action was an effort to realize the "Central Java zero exhaust brong". Including the many reports of exhaust not according to standards caused disturbances in public comfort.
"In order to create conditions to be conducive ahead of the 2024 General Election, the Central Java Police carried out a KRYD [razia]. Specifically for traffic units, the target is non-standard exhaust vehicles," he said in Pekalongan, Central Java, Tuesday, September 19, which was confiscated by Antara.
Recky said the Pekalongan City Police would continue to carry out intensive patrols and act decisively until the community, especially motorcyclists, adhered to traffic discipline on the highway.
For motorcyclists with Brong exhaust, he said, they can take the vehicle by proving a valid vehicle certificate, namely a vehicle number (STNK) and a driving license (SIM).
"In addition, motorbikes can be taken again with a note that vehicle owners are required to install exhausts according to standards at the police station," he said.
