While being detained at Kediri Class II A Prison, he met with ordinary people against the law which made them powerless. This moved Ferry to take legal action.
"Because once again my experience, which has been in law school directly, there are things where many people are helpless, face certain situations, like that, because they are faced with a system sometimes they are powerless against the system, where the system can deal with something with intention, what kind of intention. That's what I experienced," he said.
