OIKN Calls Groundbreaking Private Investors In IKN Starting Next Week
The Archipelago Capital Authority (OIKN) said that the construction or groundbreaking of private investors in the State Capital (IKN) of the Archipelago, East Kalimantan, will begin next week.
"I spill that next week the groundbreaking of IKN development will begin with private investment, with funds that are not from the APBN," said OIKN Deputy Funding and Investment Agung Wicaksono in the Business Forum Talkshow at the Infrastructure Forum and Education Expo monitored online, Wednesday, September 13.
Agung said that the progress of IKN development using APBN funds had reached more than 40 percent.
"However, starting next week, hotels, hospitals, malls and sports facilities will begin to be built that are not from the state budget. So, if people ask whether the investment goes to IKN? Yes, come in, we will watch it next week," he said.
He said that the private investors who groundbreaking at IKN Nusantara next week are Indonesian or Merah Putih investors.
According to Agung, the development of IKN is not only the construction of an administrative capital, but also building a new economic growth center.
"The development of IKN is not only an opportunity for the national economy, but also a global opportunity and this is a rare opportunity even in world history. This is because the relocation of the nation's capital city from one island to another has just occurred in Indonesia," he said.
Previously, the Minister of National Development Planning/Head of the National Development Planning Agency, Suharso Monoarfa, said that the construction of the State Capital (IKN) in the IKN master plan was carried out in five stages of development until 2045.

For the initial stage, 2022-2024 is an initial phase of relocation. The first stage of development in this early stage is focused on the development and operation of basic infrastructure, which is the main for the population.
"Building main facilities, such as the presidential palace, offices, and housing in the Central Government Core Area (KIPP). Then, the initial transfer of ASN, including the TNI and Polri. Next, is the initiation of priority economic sectors," said Suharso in a working meeting with Commission II of the DPR RI at the DPR RI Building, Jakarta, Monday, August 21.
The transfer of the State Capital was carried out as one of the strategies to realize Indonesia's 2045 economic target, namely more inclusive and equitable economic growth through the acceleration of development in Eastern Indonesia.
