Crocodile Evacuation Officer Trapped In Fisherman's Jala In Bandar Lampung
LAMPUNG BANDAR - Fire and Rescue Service officers evacuated an estuarine crocodile entangled in a fishing net from the Sukaraja area in Bandar Lampung City, Lampung.
Head of the Bandar Lampung City Fire and Rescue Service, Anthoni Irawan, conveyed that after receiving reports from residents about crocodiles entangled in fishing nets in Sukaraja, the service sent four officers to the scene.
"The evacuation of crocodiles takes approximately an hour," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, September 12.
According to him, the estuarine crocodile that was evacuated from Sukaraja was temporarily placed at the Fire and Rescue Service Office.
The Fire Department coordinated with the Natural Resources Conservation Agency (BKSDA) in evacuating and handling estuarine crocodiles.
"The size of the crocodile caught is about two meters. This will later be handed over to the Lampung BKSDA," he said.

He appealed to residents to immediately report to the service if they saw dangerous wildlife in the neighborhood.
"We ask the public not to evacuate themselves. Besides that it is dangerous, residents are not allowed to do it because it is very vulnerable to danger, especially since there are special officers who handle it," he said.
