Police Investigate Motives For Persecution Of Santri In Temanggung To Death
TemanGGung - Temanggung Resort Police (Polres), Central Java, investigated the motive for the persecution that occurred in one of the Islamic boarding schools in the Pringsurat area which resulted in the death of a student with the initials M (15).
"We are still investigating the motive for the persecution, from the statements of the witnesses and the perpetrators there is a difference of understanding between the victim and eight people," said Temanggung Police Chief AKDP Ary Sudrajat as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, September 12.
He said that at that time there was talk of the victim with the perpetrators who had no way out. The perpetrator was emotional and abused the victim.
"If it is accused of stealing, I cannot confirm whether it was theft or not, because we have to prove it again. We are still investigating the initial motive, indeed a dispute over the loss of goods in one of these places," he said.
Ary said that in the persecution there were eight perpetrators and all were minors.
From the autopsy results carried out by forensic experts at the Bhayangkara Hospital, the Central Java Police, the victim died from bleeding in the brain due to a blunt object collision, causing the victim to die.
"Yesterday's autopsy results showed injuries to the head, chest, and hands. The worst injuries were on the head, there were bruises on the head, as a result of a blunt object collision," he said.

The Temanggung Police Chief said that he did not detain the perpetrators because they were minors, in accordance with the laws and regulations.
He said that in accordance with the provisions of the criminal act of committing violence against children that resulted in the death of and/or persecution together, as referred to in Article 76C in conjunction with Article 80 paragraph (3) of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 35 of 2014 concerning amendments to Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning child protection and/or Article 170 of the Criminal Code.
