PPP Make Sure To Keep Supporting Ganjar Even Though Sandiaga Is Not Elected As A Vice Presidential Candidate
JAKARTA - The United Development Party (PPP) ensures that its party support remains in the future of the PDI-P presidential candidate, Ganjar Prabowo even though Sandiaga Uno was not chosen to be the vice presidential candidate. This was emphasized by the spokesman for PPP Usman Tokan in response to the emergence of the names of former West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil and Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud Md in the vice-presidential exchange to accompany Ganjar Pranowo.PPP will also dismiss the support and form a new axis or coalition if PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri does not choose the Chairman of the PPP to accompany Ganjar in the 2024 presidential election. "There is no intention to shift or build a new coalition or whatever. Yesterday there is an issue that Sandiaga is not accepted by PPP will make a new axis, we are already edged out and we will remain consistent with PDIP and Ganjar," said Usman to reporters, Tuesday, September 12. Usman revealed that PPP has submitted the decision regarding the candidate for vice presidential candidate Ganjar to the PDIP chairman Megawati Soekarnoputri. "PPP has fully submitted to Mrs. Mega to decide and determine which is the best for Ganjar," he said. Although, continued Usman, PPP is still fighting for Sandiaga Uno to be able to accompany the governor of Central Java to advance in the upcoming 2024 contestation. But whoever Megawati's choice, PPP remains in the line of coalition supporting Ganjar. "We are only fighting, therefore, on the basis of the rapid PP. We only have a candidate for Ganjar Pranowo. However Mahfud said, there is no discussion about the future candidate for vice president when meeting with Mrs. Ganjar Pranowo for the 2024 election.," said Usman.

Mahfud admitted that he understood that the decision to become a vice presidential candidate was with the general chairman of the party. Of course, he said, party leaders already have their own considerations and measures. "Therefore, we are not talking about presidential candidates, vice presidential candidates. The important thing is, we know that for example the PDIP coalition will later determine the coalition led by Mrs. Megawati (Chairman of PDI-P)," Mahfud explained.
