Irwan Hidayat Shares The Secret Story Of Sido's Success Muncul

JAKARTA - Director of PT Industri Jamu and Pharmacy Sido Muncul, Irwan Hidayat, explained that the role of community relations (humas) with the quality of a product is complementary to each other in industrial development strategies.

"Sido Muncul is a herbal medicine factory. But because it is a combination with PR (public relationship), the results are good," said Irwan Hidayat, when speaking at the 2023 Indonesian Public Relations Convention, in Semarang, Central Java, some time ago, quoted from Antara, Monday 11 September.

According to Irwan Hidayat, any products that are produced by the industry, but without the support of good communication steps to market them, will not develop properly.

"So, good products are well communicated, perfected with good homework. I apply this myself at Sido Muncul. This product must be good. This is one of the successful'marketing' and PR," he also said.

Answering participants' questions, Irwan also leaked three successful tips, namely the first is to maintain the quality of products that are made well so as not to disappoint consumers.

Second, said the third generation of Sido Muncul founders, the resulting products must be communicated properly, correctly, and wisely. "(Product) It's a good thing if it's not communicated wisely the results are also bad," he said again.

"Third, if you want success, people must love their homeland," he also said.

Regarding the increasingly sophisticated development of technology, Irwan considers technology to be just a companion, but the main thing in business success is good intentions, products, and communication.

"If the product is good, the communication is right, the intentions are good, whatever technology it wants is the same. Technology is just a companion. The important thing is good intentions. I do business, I use reason because reason is grace from God," he said.
