Ashton Kutcher And Mila Kunis Write Support Letter For Danny Masterson
JAKARTA - Actor Danny Masterson was sentenced to 30 years in prison for being found guilty of sexual harassment. The day after the verdict was announced, Masterson's friends sent letters to judges, including the couple Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis.
Kutcher and Kunis, who were married before, competed acting with Masterson in the series That 70s Show for eight seasons starting from 1998 to 2006. Then, Kutcher was reunited in the Ranch series for three seasons.
The couple wrote a letter to the judge asking for a reduced sentence. Kutcher sees Masterson as a role model, while Kunis says Masterson has a good attitude.
Masterson was reportedly abused at his home in 2001 and 2003 when the series That 70s Show airs. When the retrial was held, the actor was found guilty of harassing two women in 2003.
The indictment filed by the third plaintiff in November 2001 was declared an cancellation of the trial. The actor pleaded not guilty to all charges and even planned to file an appeal.
Prior to the trial, five women reported Danny Masterson's sexual harassment began in 2017. This resulted in his name being removed from the production of The Ranch series and not being involved in the sequel to That 90s Show.
Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis wrote a letter of application to the judge so that Danny Masterson's sentence could be reduced.
"Although I am aware that the judge has pleaded guilty to two counts of forced rape and the victim has a desire for justice, I hope my testimony about his character can be considered in punishment. I do not believe he continues to cause harm to society," wrote Ashton Kutcher, who said Masterson should raise his daughter.
"I wholeheartedly guarantee Danny Masterson's extraordinary character and the extraordinary positive influence he has on me and the people around him. His dedication to living a drug-free life and his sincere concern for others made him an extraordinary role model and friend," wrote Mila Kunis.

Both Kutcher and Kunis said Masterson had a lifestyle free from drugs, while during the trial, prosecutors explained that Masterson isolated his victims before abusing them.
"Every time we meet someone or interact with people who use drugs, he clearly states that he is not a good person to be friends with... I thank him for the positive side of his peers," continued Kutcher.
"Danny has proven to be a good friend, and a good brother to me. His concern and ability to provide solutions for me personally and professionally," wrote Kunis.
Danny did his job well. He is friendly and works hard. He treats everyone from the team to actors equally. As a role model, Danny is an extraordinary person," said Ashton Kutcher.
Apart from Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis, a number of actors also wrote letters requesting a reduction in Danny Masterson's sentence. They areaturation Jo Rupp, Kurtwood Smith, Billy Baldwin, Bijou Philips, Jim total, and his siblings are Alanna Masterson, Christopher Masterson, Jordan Masterson, and others.
