Menteri ATR: Kawasan Hotel Sultan GBK Resmi Jadi Milik Negara

JAKARTA - Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Hadi Tjahjanto revealed that the Sultan Hotel area, Gelora Bung Karno, has officially returned to state property.

"The status of the Building Use Rights (HGB) for the Sultan Hotel Area, Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) on behalf of PT Indobuildco officially ends. The area is now again controlled by the government based on the Management Rights (HPL) on behalf of the State Secretariat of the Republic of Indonesia," Hadi said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, September 8.

Hadi explained, HGB Number 26/Gelora and HGB Number 27/Gelora on behalf of PT Indobuildco with a total area of 13.6 hectares (the Sultan Hotel area) has ended on March 4, 2023 and April 3, 2023.

Thus, the land status automatically returned to HPL Number 1 of 1998 on behalf of the State Secretariat of the Republic of Indonesia cq. Senayan Sports Center Management Agency.

"This started with HGB ownership from 1973 with a period of 30 years, so HGB ended in 2003. Then, in 1989, HPL Number 1/Gelora was issued in 1989 on behalf of the State Secretariat of the Republic of Indonesia by the Central Jakarta Land Office. After the extension of HGB until 2023, now the HGB officially ends," he said.

This was conveyed by the Minister of ATR/Head of BPN in a Coordination Meeting held at the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, on Friday (8/9).

Meanwhile, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD explained that based on the decision of the coordination meeting, the change in state asset status in the form of an area of 13.6 hectares in the GBK area in addition to having ended has also officially won in court.

For information, PT Indobuildco's lawsuit is an objection to the issuance of HPL Number 1/Gelora a.n. State Secretariat which is considered an administrative defect and must be canceled. However, with a joint effort, the government can win the State Administrative Case (TUN) with No.71/G/2023/PTUN.JKT.

"This is a momentum to explain to the public that the state has assigned all relevant officials to jointly save state assets, which have been controlled by the private sector, especially if they are against the law or without a clear legal basis," said Mahfud MD.

Meanwhile, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo as a law enforcement officer stated that his party continues to oversee the process of returning assets or state-owned land, of course based on procedures and regulations.

"Especially if based on the explanation of the Minister of ATR/Head of BPN, the HGB status of PT Indobuildco has officially ended and the land has returned to state property," said Sigit.
