Even Though It Is Mandatory To Install Water Mist, The DKI Provincial Government Admits That The Stock Is Still Limited
JAKARTA - Head of the Environmental Pollution and Damage Control Division of the DKI Jakarta Environmental Agency, Erni Pelita Fitratunnisa, admitted that the provision of water mist equipment that had been produced was still limited.
Meanwhile, Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono requires hundreds of high-ranking buildings belonging to the private sector and buildings of the DKI Provincial Government to install water sprayers into the air.
The building manager, Fitri admitted, is also ready to buy a device worth Rp. 50 million produced by the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN).
"Private buildings are ready to hold their own water mists. So the only obstacle is the availability of the generators," said Fitri at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Friday, September 8.
Fitri also said that currently the number of high private buildings that have installed water mists is only 3 buildings.
Meanwhile, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is targeting hundreds of private buildings to have purchased and installed air sprayers before September 11.
Then, the water mist was also newly installed at the office of the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono and the office of 5 mayors in Jakarta.
"What is certain is that (the water test has been installed) in the City Hall building there are 2, then all the mayor's offices have been installed, then 3 private buildings in DKI," said Fitri.

For information, water mist devices placed on the edge of this building are usually equipped with nozzles to create smooth water grains, water driving pumps to be able to pass through nozzles with high pressure, driving fans, and water reservoir reservoirs.
This tool is usually operated for 8 hours per day. It is recommended that water mist be installed on buildings with a height of 20 meters to 200 meters to produce air pollution at a radius of about 30 to 75 meters.
The mouthgap angle on the water mist needs to be directed at an angle of 45 degrees so that spraying can be more effective. The water source exhaled by water mist is taken from inside the building.
The volume of water needed in the operation of water mist is about 5 to 10 liters per minute. So, in one hour, water mist consumes at least 300 liters.
