President Jokowi And Iriana Leave For India To Attend The G20 Summit
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo left for India to attend the G20 Summit on September 9-10, 2023.
The President, who was accompanied by First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo, took off using the Garuda Indonesia-1 aircraft from Soekarno Hatta International Airport, Tangerang, Banten, Friday, September 8.
A number of Ministers of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet accompanied the President on his way to India, namely Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung and Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan.
Meanwhile, Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto and Minister Budi Karya Sumadi seemed to have released the President's departure.
President Jokowi previously stated that the Indonesian government brings world stability and peace as a commitment that will be voiced at the G20 Summit in India.
"Tomorrow afternoon I will go to the G20 Summit in India, and what commitment we will bring there. I think stability and peace are the keys to prosperity," said President Jokowi when giving a press statement on the closing of the 43rd ASEAN Summit in Jakarta, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday (7/9).

Jokowi emphasized that the world needs a safe place (safe house) so that stability and peace are the keys to prosperity. In addition, collaboration and cooperation must be prioritized.
Indonesia is also committed to voicing the interests of developing countries related to inclusiveness and the rights to prosper its people.
The people's welfare rights referred to by Jokowi are also among those being pursued by the government, namely downstream industry.
