PK Immediately Auctions 2 Jeep Cherokee Ex Walkot Bekasi Rahmat Effendi Cars
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) received two units of Jeep Cherokee cars belonging to the former Mayor of Bekasi Rahmat Effendi or Pepen. These two cars were handed over by the family to the executor prosecutor on Monday, September 4.
"Executor Prosecutor Eva Yustiana at the Cawang KPK Rupasan has finished accepting the handover of two cars belonging to the convict Rahmat Effendi," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Wednesday, September 6.
The next two Cherokee cars will be auctioned off. However, Ali has not specified when.
"In accordance with the decision of the Supreme Court which has permanent legal force, the goods are immediately proposed to be auctioned in order to fulfill asset recovery," he said.
The specifications for the two Jeep Cherokee units are:
1. A black automated Cherokee limited car with police number B 1971 KCY in 1995.2. A black Cherokee with police number D 1106 RC in 2011.
Previously, the KPK had sent Pepen to the Class IIA Cibinong Prison, West Java. This process was carried out on Monday, August 7 last.
There, he will serve a sentence of 12 years according to the decision of the Supreme Court (MA). He was found guilty of accepting a bribe for licensing revealed through a hand arrest operation (OTT).
