Cak Imin Calls His Call For Politics After Declaration Becomes Anies Vice Presidential Candidate

JAKARTA - PKB Chairman Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin responded to a political allegation of being summoned by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) regarding the alleged corruption case in the procurement of the Indonesian Manpower Protection System (TKI) at the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker), Tuesday, September 5, today. Vice Presidential Candidate (Cawapres) Anies Baswedan's companion, it confirms itself perpendicular to efforts to eradicate corruption. "I can't dictate people's perceptions. I'm just straight," said Cak Imin as quoted in the Najwa Shihab YouTube account, Monday, September 4, evening. According to him, the KPK is indeed an authorized institution to examine corruption allegations. Therefore, Cak Imin said that he was not in the capacity to assess whether his summoning himself was political or not. "The KPK is indeed an institution authorized to resolve corruption cases, so I'm not in the competence to judge whether it's political or not political," said Cak Imin. It is known, the news of Cak Imin's summoning emerged after he was declared vice presidential as a companion to Anies Baswedan. There is a suspicion that the KPK's call is a condition for politics. As his partner in the upcoming 2024 presidential election, the Presidential Candidate for the Association of Anies Baswedan also handles it. Anies hopes that Cak Imin's summoning has nothing to do with the candidacy. "It's not, that's our hope," said Anies on the same occasion.

The former governor of DKI Jakarta also stated that he would respect the KPK who is working professionally. Regarding Cak Imin's truth involved, Anies entrusted it to historical facts. "We respect that the KPK is working professionally. I'm sure they will continue to work professionally," said Anies. "Let history prove later," he added.
