PDIP Semarang Says DCS Evaluation Is Not Needed, Legislative Candidates Are In Accordance With Party Expectations
The PDI-P Branch Leadership Council (DPC) of Semarang City said the evaluation of the local list of candidates (DCS) was in accordance with party expectations and there were no problems.
"We have gone through all the rules and mechanisms. The procedure from the KPU has also been done," said Secretary of the Semarang City PDIP DPC Kadarlusman alias Pilus in Semarang, Monday, September 4, confiscated by Antara.
After DCS' announcement by the KPU, said Pilus, political parties conducted an evaluation to ensure that there were no problems with the prospective legislative candidates (caleg) set in DCS.
"The process is running and DCS has emerged. From this DCS, political parties evaluate. If it is considered that there is something that may be somewhat fatal to candidates (candidates), it can be considered," said Pilus.
However, he said, if there are no problems, especially in principle, the candidates who have been included in the DCS will be designated as a list of permanent candidates (DCT).
"Until now it is still clear, it is still in accordance with the expectations of political parties. From political parties, there has been no change, including serial numbers. Just waiting later, hopefully according to the party's expectations for DCT," he said.
The Semarang City Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) has previously opened a complaint post at each sub-district panwaslu office from 19 to 28 August 2023 to accommodate reports from the public regarding DCS funerals.
Of the 16 sub-district complaints posts and posts at the Semarang City Bawaslu Office, there have been no public reports regarding violations or findings related to DCS.
Although the opening of the DCS complaint post has been completed, the Head of Semarang City Bawaslu, Arief Rahman, reminded that the role of the community to conduct funerals against the DCS Election for members of the Semarang City DPRD will continue.
"We also continue to carry out close supervision with the KPU. For the community, there is still an opportunity to carry out harmonies, including if there is information that they can still report," he said.

Moreover, he said, the public certainly knows more about the figures who are included in the DCS who have been announced because they will be selected by the community in the 2024 General Election.
Regarding potential violations in the stage of DCS announcement, he said, it was still around fulfilling administrative requirements, such as not ASN (state civil servants), TNI, Polri, or having been convicted.
"Therefore, people who know more (will be legislative candidates) in their respective environments. If there are findings, report them to us. Community participation is important," he said.
