Robber Rp190 Million In Batam Arrested By Riau Islands Police In Bekasi, Jarahan Results Remaining Rp7.2 Million
The Riau Islands Police (Kepri) arrested a man with the initials PIJ (42) to Bekasi. PJ fled to Bekasi after robbing Rp190 million in Batam, Riau Islands.
"This suspect carried out his action on Friday (August 25), he had fled out of town until we finally managed to arrest him in Bekasi, West Java on Thursday (August 31)," said Head of Sub-Directorate for Jatanras Ditreskrimum of the Riau Islands Police, AKBP Robby Topan Manusiwa, Monday, September 4. He explained that this case began when the suspect was told to take the victim with the initials JN to deposit money to the bank amounting to Rp190 million using a box car.
However, on the way, the suspect took out a knife and immediately pointed it at the victim. There was resistance from the victim, but the suspect managed to corner the victim while in a quiet place "Arriving at a quiet place, the suspect stopped the box car, then pushed the victim out of the car while pulling the victim's bag which contained Rp190 million in cash," he said.

After taking the hundreds of millions, the suspect took the car and left it in one of the housing complexes and immediately fled out of town. After the incident, the victim immediately made a report to the Riau Islands Police and immediately followed up. "From the victim's report, development was carried out. Members of the Ditreskrimum Polda Kepri received information that the suspect had fled to Jakarta. Then he pursued PIJ and secured the suspect in Bekasi," he said. The results of the examination also revealed that the suspect was a recidivist of a similar case in Palembang, South Sumatra," he said.
