Basuki Targets Renovation Of Betang Lunsa Hilir Rampung House November 2023
JAKARTA - Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono reviewed the renovation of the Betang House (Soo Langke) in Lunsa Hilir, South Putussibau District, Kapuas Hulu Regency, West Kalimantan. He targets the work on renovating the Tasik Taman traditional house to be completed in November 2023.
"Total, ada sekitar 30 pintu di Rumah Betang ini, saat ini progres konstruksinya sudah 46,49 persen," kata Menteri Basuki dalam siaran persnya, pada Senin, 4 September.
On the same occasion, the Head of the West Kalimantan Region Settlement Infrastructure Center, Deva Kurniawan, said that the Betang House was the residence of the Sub Sub Sub Sub Sub Sub Suku Dayak Taman for generations. This Betang house was founded in 1942.
"The Betang Lunsa Hilir house has experienced several previous improvements. The first improvements were made at the same time to move the homepage (Tasoo) to face Jalan Raya. Previously, Ta'soo faced the river, because the river was sacred for the Dayak Taman tribe," he said.

Deva said, the purpose of this renovation work is for the preservation of cultural heritage buildings. The scope of work includes, the rehabilitation work of the main building of the betang house, service building work, work on garbage disposal sites (TPS) & road pavements, communal kitchen work, regional arrangement work, and mechanical electrical work.
He added that some of the repairs made to the building included the rehabilitation of the terrace hallway in the main building, the rehabilitation of roofs in the main building, and the construction of additional buildings including communal kitchens.
"The construction using APBN financing in 2023 is IDR 20.3 billion, whose work started in April 2023 and will be completed according to the contract at the end of November 2023," he said.
