Dissolved In Water Then Thrown Into Kloset, Evidence Of Cases Destroyed By BNNP Kaltara

TARAKAN - The Provincial National Narcotics Agency (BNNP) of North Kalimantan destroyed evidence of methamphetamine weighing 485.35 grams by dissolving it in water and then throwing it into the toilet.

"The evidence that was destroyed came from the disclosure of the case in Nunukan Regency on August 4, 2023," said Head of the Eradication Division of the BNNP Kaltara Kombes Deden Andriana in his statement in Tarakan as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, August 31.

Prior to the destruction (30/8), Tarakan City Regional Health Laboratory (Labkesda) officers conducted a test of methamphetamine evidence and tested positive for methamphetamine.

When the destruction was carried out, the suspect with the initials SP (31) was a resident of Ngawi Regency, East Java and the Tarakan District Attorney's Office.

The SP suspect, who does not have a job in Kaltara, lives on Jalan Manunggal RT 15, Bunyu District, Bulungan.

Deden said that when SP came to Nunukan to take the methamphetamine to be brought to Tanjung Selor, Bulungan.

BNNP Kaltara officers when arresting SP found 10 plastic packages of white crystals suspected of being class I narcotics with a gross weight of 487.35 grams confiscated from the suspect.

During the search, evidence of methamphetamine was found odd, because it was not methamphetamine but tawas that was smoothed.

The results of coordination with the Kaltara High Prosecutor's Office finally separated and conducted laboratory tests, the results of which received nine packs of positive methamphetamine and one pack of tawas.

"It was prepared for a laboratory weighing 1 gram, for the purposes of proving a case of 1 gram, so that the net weight that was destroyed was weighing 485.35 grams," said Deden.
