4 Toll Roads Prohibited From Being Passed By Heavy Vehicles During The ASEAN Summit
Information about the 4 toll roads that are prohibited from being passed by heavy vehicles was conveyed by the Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo.
"To make the implementation of the 43rd ASEAN Summit in Jakarta successful on September 5-7, 2023, the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency has prepared traffic engineering management," said Syafrin in a written statement, Wednesday, August 30, 2023, which was approved by VOI.
The traffic engineering carried out is to limit the operation of goods transport cars on four toll roads, including:
"The restrictions will be carried out from September 5, 2023 at 00.00 WIB to September 7, 2023 at 23.49 WIB," explained Syafrin.
The transportation restrictions for heavy-loaded vehicle transportation on the four toll roads are a follow-up to the Decree (SK) of the Head of the Jabodetabek Transportation Management Agency (BPTJ) Number KP -BPTJ 221 of 2023 concerning Traffic Regulations During the Implementation Period of the 43rd ASEAN Summit in 2023 on the Jakarta Regional Toll Road.
"The socialization will be carried out by his staff ahead of the ASEAN Summit, in synergy with BPTJ, the West Java Transportation Service and the Banten Transportation Service, as well as the Indonesian Truck Entrepreneurs Association (Aptrindo)," said Syafrin.
Fuel Trucks Transporting Basic Materials Can Be Excepted
These operational restrictions do not apply to cars transporting fuel oil or gas fuel, livestock, shipping posts and money, as well as staple food such as rice, flour, corn, sugar, vegetables and fruits, meat, fish, vegetable oil, milk, eggs, salt, soybeans, onions, chilies, broiler meat, bottled drinking water, and animal feed.
This provision is contained in the Decree signed by the Head of BPTJ Agus Rahardjo on August 28, 2023.

In the decree, it is explained that the freight transport car, which wants to cross the toll road above, must be equipped with a cargo letter with the condition that it is issued by the owner of the transported goods, a cargo certificate containing information on the type of goods transported, the purpose of sending goods and the address name of the owner of the goods, and attached to the left windshield of the bar transportation.
The operational restrictions on goods transport cars will be stated with traffic signs installed by business entities in the toll road sector.
In addition, officers will be alerted to regulate traffic during the ASEAN Summit.
Violations of the provisions of orders and prohibitions declared with signs, markings and traffic signator agents will be subject to sanctions under Law Number 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation.
