Residents Of Matraman Are Afraid To See Retail Gasoline Burns Next To Gas Stations, Worried That It Will Spread

JAKARTA - The fire incident with a fairly large fire on the side of Jalan Matraman Raya, to be precise next to the Berlan gas station, Kebon Manggis Village, Matraman District, East Jakarta, was successfully extinguished on Wednesday, August 30, afternoon.

The fire can be controlled by firefighters before spreading to the Berlan Public Fuel Filling Station (SPBU).

According to Windu, one of the residents, at the time of the fire incident, there was also loading and unloading of fuel from a tanker that was filling gasoline supplies.

"Earlier, loading and unloading was stopped, the process was immediately stopped. The loading and unloading of the tank is filling (BBM)," he told reporters, Wednesday, August 30.

Meanwhile, according to Hari, the Pisangan Baru fire task force, a fire occurred when retail gasoline traders poured retail gasoline into buyers.

"Then the (gasoline) overflowed, flowing, next to it was the tire patcher who was patching. When patching it, there was a fire. Coincidentally it immediately grabbed," Hari explained to reporters, Wednesday, August 30.

Then the fire quickly grew because at the location of the fire there was two gallons of retail gasoline which was fully filled.

"So the fire spread quickly. Alhamdulillah, only retail gasoline traders and tire patchers did not get to the side (embedded). It did not reach the gas station," he said.

Hari said, in the case of a fire involving gasoline, if there is a fire, it can grab quickly.

"It's normal if the fuel with a fire immediately grabs. It's a simultaneous ignition. The one that caught fire besides the compressor was aunder's motorbike and a shop, all burned down. There were no casualties because they immediately saved themselves when the fire broke out," he said.

Previously, it was reported that a retail gasoline stall and a tire patch on the side of Jalan Matraman Raya, to be precise next to the Berlan gas station, Kebon Manggis Village, Matraman District, East Jakarta was engulfed by a red rooster. In addition to buildings, one motorbike was also burned down.
