Ipay Fulfills His Promise, Report Back Ian Kasela To The Police
JAKARTA - Rival Bayu alias Ipay fulfilled his promise to report back Ian Kasela to the police this week. Together with his team of attorneys, he visited the Polda Metro Jaya on Friday, September 1 night.
Tiara Octavia, Ipay's attorney stated that the report was made due to the problem of copyrighting the song Cinderella popularized by Radja.
"Pak Ipay has reported on suspicion of a crime committed by brother IK (May Kasela). It is suspected that IK has used the Cinderella song which he wrote using the name of his creation Ian Kasela Ipay," said Tiara Octavia.
"In fact, the Cinderella song was created by our client, Mr. Ipay since 1996 and was published in 1998," he continued.
Ian Kasela was reported for allegedly committing a criminal act regulated in Article 112 in conjunction with Article 113 of the Copyright Law.
Together with his report, Ipay is known to have brought two pieces of evidence, namely a contract agreement signed by Ian Kasela with a publisher for the song Cinderella and a demo song that Ipay had made.

When asked about the possibility of taking a peaceful path related to the copyright polemic for the Cinderella song, Ipay stated that he wanted the legal process to be taken first.
"According to what is here, let us just proceed with the law first," said Ipay.
For information, Ipay's report against Ian Kasela was registered with the police report number LP/B/5193/IX/2023/SPKT/POLDA METRO JAYA on suspicion of copyright abuse.
