Coordinating Minister For Human Development And Culture: Educational Institutions Should Not Be Used For Campaigns
JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (Menko PMK) Muhadjir Effendy said educational institutions should not be used to carry out political campaigns.
"In general, I have said that educational institutions should not be used as campaign sites," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 29.
However, Muhadjir still respects the Constitutional Court (MK) regarding his decision to allow campaign activities in educational institutions.
"But as far as I understand, educational institutions should not be used for campaigns," he said.
As for the campus used for the campaign, the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture agreed because there are a number of benefits that can have a positive impact on students on campus.

However, he still urges lecturers on related campuses to always keep the situation conducive, so as not to create camps on campus.
"This means that the benefits with the harm should not cause more harm," he said.
In addition, the Coordinating Minister also appealed to all school-level educational institutions to keep pursuing the gap faced due to learning loss, which occurred for about two years during the COVID-19 pandemic.
This, he said, resulted in the loss of study time for five to six months per year, meaning that students at that time lost one year of their study time.
"This must be pursued, meaning teachers, let's focus on catching up on it. Because if it is left behind, there will be setbacks," said the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture.
