Increase The Number Of Passengers, Garuda Indonesia Chooses Bali To Expand Premium Services
JAKARTA - BUMN airline, Garuda Indonesia chose Bali to expand premium services to increase the number of passengers due to high air traffic on the Island of the Gods.
"The biggest hub is Bali besides Jakarta, so traffic in Bali is extraordinary," said Garuda Indonesia Vice President Corporate Arsena Permasadhie in Denpasar, Bali, quoted from Antara, Friday, August 25.
The national airline provides premium services to passengers from all classes in the form of pick-up and delivery using a luxury car powered by the latest German manufacturer.
Passengers who can enjoy the service, he said, are randomly selected passengers based on notes on the reservation desk, including passengers who have birthdays or passengers making certain trips.
Apart from Bali, the service was already opened at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Jakarta.
Thus, he believes that this breakthrough will increase the interest of travelers or business people or other people using the services of the state-owned airline considering that Jakarta and Bali are favorite routes in the country.
He explained that per day the average number of Jakarta-Bali round-trip flights (PP) is seven times and can increase to 10 times per day using wide-body fleets, Boeing 777 and Airbus A-330.
Meanwhile, one of the passengers who first experienced the service, Nana admitted that she had just been contacted to get the service on D-1 before leaving Jakarta to Bali.

The momentum for improving the number of passengers after being hit by the COVID-19 pandemic is also projected to boost passenger occupancy, both domestic and international routes, especially those served through Bali.
During the January-June 2023 period, Arsena stated that the average number of Garuda passengers per day, both domestic and international routes, reached around 600 thousand people or closer to before the COVID-19 pandemic.
The state-owned airline estimates that there will be a trend of increasing the number of passengers by 36.45 percent in the third quarter of 2023 when compared to the same period in 2022 which at that time reached 10.5 million passengers.
