Ciputra Golfpreneur Tournament: Indian Golfer Vs Taiwan Competes, Four Indonesian Representatives Qualify Cut Off
JAKARTA - Yuvraj Singh Sandhu (India) and Ho Yu-Cheng (Taipei) competed at the top of the second day of the BNI Ciputra Golfpreneur Tournament 2023, Thursday (24/8). In the match which was held at Damai Indah Golf BSD Course, they each collected 131 punches or 13 under the par. Four Indonesian golfers also passed the cut off.
"Luckily putter I started sharp earlier this morning and I was able to make two birdsies in the first two holes. I think the two birdsies created momentum in the first nine holes. Before I found out my score was 6-under in the first nine holes, I didn't really know my score, and this was a good thing because it helped me focus more on the game," said Yuvraj.
As he got older, he admitted that it took longer to warm up. This greatly affects his performance today. At the last nine holes, Yuvraj tried to do the same swing and always put the ball on the fairway.
The position of the pin in green is in quite challenging places, and you can score with just one blow and lose a few punches. So, you have to really focus," he explained.
Ho Yu-Cheng's performance is also impressive. He scored the eagle in hole 18.
When I got to the tease box 18 I just wanted to do a pretty straight tease, which I could have realized because the ball was in the middle of the fairway. Then, at the second blow it left about 186 meters and a bit against the wind. I used 5-iron and managed to hit the ball until it was 1.8 meters from the hole," he explained.
