Pertamax Green 95 Can Be Used In Peugeot Cars In Indonesia

JAKARTA - Some time ago, Pertamina presented a new innovation by launching Pertamax Green 95 fuel. This latest fuel combines Pertamax with bioethenol (E5) with 5 percent content.

Pertamax Green 95's presence received a positive response from several automotive manufacturers in Indonesia, including Peugeot.

Aidil FB Swastomo, Head of Aftersales Department Astra Peugeot, stated that Peugeot cars sold in Indonesia were suitable for using Pertamax Green 95 which contained E5. In fact, models such as Peugeot 5008, 3008, and 2008 have been proven to be compatible with E10 fuel.

"We are pleased to inform consumers in Indonesia that the Peugeot SUV is compatible with fuel E5," said Aidil in his statement, Wednesday, August 23.

Of course, technicians from Peugeot have done careful calculations to ensure that their models match these new fuels, including for markets in Southeast Asia.

Pertamina has introduced a new fuel product with RON 95 which mixes bioethenol from cassava. And the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) has been conducting research since 2008 to ensure that fuel mixing with bioethenol can be safely used on vehicles.

As a distributor of Peugeot vehicles in Indonesia, Astra Peugeot has provided various models compatible with this fuel, including 2008, 3008, and 5008 for customers in the country.

Meanwhile, the parent company of Peugeot, Stellantis, is also working on developing machines that match clean fuels, such as e-fuels.

With this move, the multinational company aims to support its journey to carbon neutral by 2038. Stellantis has also affirmed its commitment to selling electric vehicles completely by the end of the decade in Europe.

In addition, Peugeot has also planned the launch of five electric cars in the next two years including introducing new hybrid technologies with MHEV 48v which will be used in models 208, 2008, 308, 3008, 5008, and 408 this year.
