VinFast VF9, EV Car From Vietnam To Greet US Market
JAKARTA - Vietnamese automotive manufacturer VinFast recently introduced the VF9, a flagship three-line electric-powered SUV that will pass on the United States (US) market.
Even though it has just entered the global stage, the products offered by VinFast have an attraction that deserves thumbs up. VF9 comes in several variants, each having its own advantage in terms of travel distance, namely the Eco variant with a distance of 482 km and the Plus variant with a distance of 468 km.
Le Thi Thuy, CEO of Global VinFast, stated that the arrival of VF9 is a clear proof of the company's commitment to producing various models and providing better service on the global stage.
"VinFast hopes to export this model to the North American market this year, along with the VF8 model," said Le Thi Thu Thuy, as reported by InsideEVs, Monday, August 21.
Like its competitors, VinFast VF9 is equipped with various Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) features, including Highway Assist Level 2, Blind Spot Detection, Smart Parking Assist, and Smart Summon Mode.
The two variants of VF9 are supported by a double electric motor capable of producing up to 402 dk of power and 619 Nm of torque. Thus, this SUV is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/hour within 6.5 seconds.

VinFast VF9 is also equipped with a battery with a capacity of 123 kWh which can charge from 10 to 70 percent in just 35 minutes using a fast DC charger.
Being in the class above VF8, VinFast VF9 is already available on the Vietnamese market and new unit deliveries have started. VinFast will enter the North American market by starting shipping VF9 in the late quarter of this year.
With regard to the price, this SUV will compete with Kia EV9 and sell for around $83,000 for the Eco variant, as well as around US$90,000 (around Rp1.3 billion) for the Plus variant.
