Traveloka Encourages Tourism Digital Transformation to Realize Indonesia's Vision Forward 2045
JAKARTA - Traveloka, as a travel platform in Indonesia, continues to be committed to encouraging the digital transformation of the tourism industry, through strategic partnerships with various stakeholders, empowering local communities, and innovation to ensure sustainable tourism.

Traveloka sees that in realizing digital transformation in the tourism sector, there are three important areas that need to be developed, namely the digitization of travelers, increasing digital literacy of human resources (HR) in the tourism industry, and initiatives to ensure sustainable tourism.
Responding to the importance of digital transformation to realize the vision of an Advanced Indonesia, Suci Lestari Yuana, Gadjah Mada University Digital Economy Researcher, said that digitalizing the economy, including digitizing tourism, is a necessity.

There are still many opportunities that can and need to be developed, especially in the micro, small, and medium industry sector to make tourism digitization more inclusive and fair," concluded Suci.
On the other hand, entering the moment of celebrating Indonesia's 78th Independence Day which was marked by a long holiday, Traveloka recorded an increase in transaction volume for accommodation products by 55.5 percent in the period July 31 - August 6, 2023, compared to the previous week.
In addition, in the same period, there was also a spike in transaction volume on land transportation (buses and trains) up to 20 percent. Jakarta, Bandung, Surabaya, Yogyakarta, and Semarang are listed as users' favorite destinations.
