HNW: PKS Not Tempted To Make Anies Cawapres Ganjar
JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of the PKS Syuro Council, Hidayat Nur Wahid, stated that his party remains committed to the Coalition for Amendments to Unity (KPP) which encourages Anies Baswedan as a candidate for the 2024 presidential candidate.
This was conveyed by Hidayat in response to the statement by the Chairman of the PDIP DPP Said Abdullah who dreamed of uniting his presidential reading, Ganjar Pranowo and Anies Baswedan in the 2024 General Election.
"PKS is not tempted to make Pak Anies only a vice presidential candidate. We want him as a presidential candidate to bring changes to be better," said Hidayat, Tuesday, August 22.
The Deputy Chairperson of the MPR emphasized that there was never an option within the PKS to make the former Governor of DKI Jakarta as a vice presidential candidate.
"It's strange if PKS talks about it. The decision of the Shura Council is to support Pak Anies as a presidential candidate, not a vice presidential candidate," he said.

However, he welcomes other parties to talk about the Ganjar-Anies duet. But for PKS, he said, Anies is still the presidential candidate of the KPP.
"Yes, now anyone can discuss it. But PKS is committed to making Mr. Anies not a vice presidential candidate, but a presidential candidate with a Democrat with NasDem, we are consistent there," he said.
