Continuing To Dominate MotoGP 2023, Francesco Bagnaia: What Is Certain, Second Half Will Be Very Difficult
JAKARTA - Ducati Lenovo's Francesco Bagnaia, continues his dominance in MotoGP 2023. The Italian won two races at the Austrian MotoGP, the end of yesterday.
The perfect result at the Red Bull Ring Circuit became ammunition for Bagnaia in the face of the second round of MotoGP 2023. The confidence of last season's world champion is clearly growing.
"What is certain is that the second half of the season now will be very difficult, but we will try to calm down and enjoy every moment like we did this weekend. If we can continue like this, we can get some good results," Bagnaia said.
The racer who is familiarly called Pecco said that his dominance this season could not be separated from several technical updates that were pinned by the team. This is the result of a number of evaluations that have been carried out.
"We managed to do an amazing job all weekend, the technicians and my team gave everything I asked for, and this is the result," Pecco said.
Meanwhile, Ducati Corse Team Manager Luigi Dall'Igna said the team would continue to strive to give Pecco more encouragement in the next races.
"Pecco is amazing here, he didn't make any mistakes. The road is still very long until the end of the season, we have just finished 10 of the 20 races we have to do, and, as shown last year, we have to move forward until the end," he added.
Currently, Bagnaia leads the MotoGP 2023 standings with 251 points. He is far ahead of Jorge Martin (Pramac Ducati) who gets 189 points.
Meanwhile, the COVER of VR46 Racing Tea, Marco Bezzecchi, stalked in a prone position with 183 points.
With the remaining 10 series, Bagnaia must remain vigilant. The reason is, the advantages of the existing points could be cut if the defending champion does not maintain consistency.
