Choices For Budiman Sudjatmiko Support Prabowo, Resign Or Fire PDIP

JAKARTA - PDI Perjuangan (PDIP) will impose sanctions on its cadre, Budiman Sudjatmiko with the option of being fired or resigning. This sanction was given because Budiman announced publicly to support the presidential candidate from another party, Prabowo Subianto. PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto emphasized that the party does not tolerate disciplinary actions of every party cadre. Later, Mr. Komarudin will announce. The option is to resign or accept dismissal sanctions," said Hasto Kristiyanto on the sidelines of the Regional Working Meeting (Rakerda) III of the East Kalimantan PDIP DPD in Balikpapan, last Sunday. Hasto said that PDIP always prioritizes political ethics especially when recruiting its cadres. According to him, every PDIP cadre joins because of the basis of volunteerism, not because of the lure of others. PDIP is said to have not been influenced by Budiman's different attitude. He emphasized that PDIP is increasingly solid to carry Ganjar Pranowo as a presidential candidate. The steps will instead produce positive energy for the movement of all PDIP cadres, said Hasto. Previously, Budiman Sudjatmiko surprisingly announced his support for Prabowo Subianto in the Prabowo-Budiman (Prabu) United volunteer event in Semarang, Central Java, Friday 18 August.

The former activist had also met with Prabowo in Kertanegara, Jakarta, on July 18, 2023. A few days after the meeting, PDIP called Budiman to provide clarification on the meeting with Prabowo Subianto.
