Moving To Saudi Arabia, Neymar Motivated And Can't Wait To Face Cristiano Ronaldo And Karim Benzema

JAKARTA - Neymar officially continued his career as a footballer in Saudi Arabia after joining Al Hilal. Neymar, who is now part of the Saudi Arabian League, admitted that he could not wait to be able to fight Cristiano Ronaldo until Karim Benzema, who had moved first.

Neymar's presence at Al Hilal is the latest surprise after the club was previously able to bring in Kalidou Koulibaly, Ruben Neves, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, and Malcom.

Neymar admitted that he was not worried about losing elite-level matches. The reason is, many stars have successfully made names in Europe and now have careers in Saudi Arabia.

Neymar mentioned names such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, and Roberto Firmino as opponents who can't wait to face him on the gridiron.

"Yes, of course, it will be an interesting meeting against top quality players in other teams," said the former Barcelona player.

"Things like that make me enthusiastic. It makes me motivated to play better," said Neymar on Al Hilal's social media account quoted Friday, August 18.

Regarding Ronaldo and Benzema, Neymar is used to competing with the two big names. The reason is that when defending Barcelona from 2013-2017, Real Madrid, which was strengthened by Benzema and Ronaldo, were the main enemies.

But now Ronaldo and Benzema are no longer in the same team. Ronaldo leads Al Nassr while Benzema is Al Ittihad's mainstay.

Meanwhile, regarding Roberto Firmino, the player is Neymar's partner in the Brazilian national team. With Neymar's move to Saudi Arabia, Neymar actually had the opportunity to play and challenge these big stars again.

"When dealing with Ronaldo, Benzema, Firmino, that sense of enthusiasm is certainly bigger. So I am very happy to join this league," he said.

"Meeting with them will be a beautiful thing. The duel will be fantastic," concluded Neymar.
