YouTube Music's Turn To Adopt Vertical Feed Has TikTok
JAKARTA - YouTube Music is the latest to adopt a vertical video scroll bait typical of TikTok dubbed the Sample.
The sample is a pass from a short-formed video segment to take users to a new favorite music backed by the world's largest music video catalog.
This personalized feed will explore the entire YouTube Music collection so there is always something new to listen to, be it the latest release from artists or music that is on the rise.
The company said, there is also an immersive clip that offers a glimpse of the artist, the video, and the nuances of the song.
Users just scroll vertically to enjoy new songs, making the discovery of music fun and easy.
"We want to make it easier for you to learn more in songs and artists that you find and like all without leaving YouTube Music," YouTube said in a statement, quoted Wednesday, August 16.
"We hope to inspire you to build a lifelong relationship with artists you've never heard of before," he added.

With each sample, users can quickly add songs to the collection, share them with friends, create favorite playlists, start a new radio station, watch complete videos, visit album pages, or even use songs to create your own Shorts.
Apart from users, YouTube also presents the ability for artists, where the Sample tab will provide other ways to find new viewers and build communities on YouTube.
"This is another example of how YouTube's unique combination of music videos, live performances, music premieres, and Shorts videos inspired true and faithful fandom, which is key to making our platform the best place for every artist and music fan," explained the Google-owned platform.
The Sample tab will start rolling out today for YouTube Music users globally.
