TIP Syndicate Revealed At West Kalimantan Supadio Airport, Operated From 'Mami' In NTB
The Kubu Raya Police have uncovered a syndicate of people trafficking crimes (TPPO) with the placement of Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) without valid documents.
This case was revealed after two victims of illegal PMI candidates were picked up by a TIP syndicate at Supadio International Airport, Kubu Raya Regency, West Kalimantan (West Kalimantan) on Friday 11 August.
"Two people suspected of being victims of CPMI were found along with a driver who picked them up," said Kubu Raya Police Chief AKBP Arief in Sungai Raya, Pontianak, Tuesday, August 15.
Based on the development, the police identified a man with the initials SI alias Gepeng who was the coordinator of the departure of the PMI candidate. SI was arrested at an inn in Kubu Raya.
The Head of Subsidy for the Kubu Raya Police, Aiptu Ade, added that from the results of the brief interrogation, Supandi admitted that he had provided services to pick up two PMI candidates from Supadio Airport.
The victim who departed from Lombok, he continued, was instructed by a woman with the initials MA alias NI alias Mami who is in Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).
"After an investigation, the two victims departed from Lombok, transited in Surabaya, and arrived at Supadio Airport and were picked up by SI. The plan is that they will enter Malaysia via the Aruk border and work in oil palm plantations without documents and requirements that have been determined by the government," said Ade.

From this case, the victim suffered a loss of Rp. 7,700,000. Currently, the victim, the perpetrator, and evidence have been secured at the Kubu Raya Police for further investigation.
The results of this arrest, several pieces of evidence were secured in the form of 1 passport belonging to the victim, 1 unit of cellphone belonging to the victim and 1 unit of cellphone belonging to SI Alias Gepeng.
"With the disclosure of this case, we Kubu Raya Police are committed to eradicating human trafficking actors so that the Kubu Raya Regency area is no longer playing games against the trade of people in protecting the rights of Indonesian migrant workers," said Ade.
