Sumenep Police Evacuate 5 Families From The Bangunan Location
The Sumenep Police, East Java, evacuated five families (KK) in Moncek Tengah Village, Lenteng District, following the sound of a bang from the ground occupied by the five heads of the family in the last few days.
"We are taking this step to anticipate things that are not desirable, especially since the occupants of the house are worried," said Head of Public Relations of the Sumenep Police, AKP Widiarti, as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, August 12.
Previously, on Saturday morning at around 09.30 WIB, five heads of families (KK), namely Jakfar, Jazuli, Badrun, Ramli, and Naim residents of Moncek Tengah Village, Lenteng District, Sumenep, East Java reported that there was a sound of a boom from within the earth occupied by their house.
The shaking sound was heard for about 45 minutes. Sometimes it's like the sound of people digging wells and breaking rocks. Even though there were no mining activities around the scene.
"The Lenteng Police have conducted an inspection around the location, and there are no additional activities, so we ask that the occupants of the house should evacuate to a safer place," said Widiarti.
Authorities from relevant agencies within the Sumenep Regency Government have also come to the location and are starting to investigate the sound of a bang from the land of the five heads of families in Central Moncek Village, Lenteng District.

"The BPBD Sumenep Regency Government has also gone to the location and is still investigating what caused the sound of the explosion from the ground occupied by the five families. Our task is to anticipate by asking the residents of the five houses to temporarily evacuate to safer places," he said.
Some residents in this village said that the sound of a bang from within the ground had also happened before, but the time was very short.
"It's been a long time this time. Previously, it was only between one and two minutes, after that it stopped," said local resident Qudsiyanto.
