In announcing the continuation of cooperation with PT Pertamina Lubricants, Head of Motorsport Lamborghini, Giorgio Sanna said that he would soon develop technology that would later be used for hybrid cars that were claimed to be able to launch in the country.
"The hybrid car will soon launch at the end of next year, which is suitable for the Indonesian market, of course, by issuing a city car-based Lamborghini which can be tested here," said Sanna during a press conference at the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2023 at ICE BSD, Saturday, August 12.
Allegedly, Lamborghini will start with a hybrid version of the Manage model which uses two power sources, be it fuel and electricity in 2024 or 2025.
The launch was also followed by a 2+2 Grand Tourer (GT) which will be the company's first EV. They also have ambitions to present an electric version of Manage by 2030.
However, it is not certain whether the car will pave in Indonesia. Even so, with the presence of this concept model, Lamborghini will add to the list of their electric vehicles after Terzo Millenio.
In preparation for the era of electric vehicles, the manufacturer will also re-develop their production facilities in Sant'Agata, where Revuelto and Huracan are most recently located.
