The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Got Harun Masiku's Information About Leaving The Country Via An Unofficial Path
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) stated that the search for Harun Masiku abroad was not without basis. This process was carried out because there was information that said the fugitive in the bribery case of former KPU commissioner Wahyu Setiawan was out through an unofficial route.
"In the development of the information we received, the person concerned had left Indonesia but did not go through official channels so it was not recorded at the time of his release," Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK Asep Guntur told reporters, Friday night, August 11.
"Well, we will follow up on this information. We have sent a team to neighboring countries," he continued.
Asep said this search was also coordinated with the National Police's International Relations Division (Divhubinter). This step is important because the Bhayangkara Corps has cooperation with police from other countries.
"For example, the Singapore police, the Malaysian police, the Philippines, are working with the Indonesian police if there is information in the country. We can cooperate through the Indonesian police, the National Police Headquarters and then the National Police Headquarters with the country to find the suspects or suspects," he explained.
As previously reported, the National Police said Harun Masiku was in the country. This certainty is based on the crossing data they have.
"There is data on the crossing that shows that the person concerned is domestically," said Head of the National Police's International Relations Division (Kadiv Hubinter) Inspector General Krishna Murti after meeting with the KPK structural ranks at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Monday, August 7.
