New KPK Investigations In Basarnas Not Related To The Henri Kabasarnas Case

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is now conducting a new investigation related to allegations of corruption in the procurement of trucks at the National SAR Agency (Basarnas) in 2014. This case is certainly not related to the bribery case that ensnared the Head of Basarnas Marshal Henri Alfiandi. "Different, so this is a different thing. This is a process of procurement of goods and services. If OTT or those who catch bribes procurement of goods and services," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Thursday, August 10. The new investigation was aimed at the implementation of the procurement project. Meanwhile, in the case that ensnared Henri, the process occurred before the project was carried out. Even so, Ali ensured that the two cases would be thoroughly investigated. All suspects will be held accountable for their actions in court. "But we will announce it when sufficient," he said. Previously, the KPK said that the actions of the suspects in the corruption case of procuring trucks in Basarnas had caused state losses. Its value did not play around reaching tens of billions of rupiah.

The anti-corruption commission has not announced the suspects in this case because the search for evidence is still ongoing. However, they have prevented three people from leaving the country. The three people prevented were former Sestama Basarnas Max Rudand Boseke; PPK Basarnas Anjar Sulistiyono; and Director of CV Delima Mandiri, William Widarta. This prevention was carried out by the Directorate General of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights until December 2023 and could be extended for six months according to the needs of investigators.
