Yenny Wahid Affirms Never Offering Himself To Be Anies Baswedan's Vice Presidential Candidate
JAKARTA - Zannuba Ariffah Chafsoh or Yenny Wahid emphasized that he had never offered himself as a vice presidential candidate (cawapres) accompanying Anies Baswedan. The daughter of the 4th President of the Republic of Indonesia Abdurrahman Wahid or Gus Dur stated that he only responded to the existing dynamics.
This statement is the aftermath of his statement claiming to be ready to become a vice presidential candidate in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres). Yenny at that time said that no one, including a politician, must be ready to hold public positions, including the vice president.
"I've never offered myself. I just responded," Yenny told reporters at Djakarta Theater, Central Jakarta, Thursday night, August 10.
Instead of offering himself up, Yenny even said that the figure of the Chairman of the Democratic Party, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), was more suitable to accompany Anies.
"(Support AHY because, red) cool. Young Indonesian leaders," he said briefly.

Even so, Yenny said this condition could change. It was not clear what he said but these changes often occur in the final momentum.
"We'll see the last moments," he said with a laugh.
Recently, Yenny's name has been reportedly noticed by the Coalition for Change, especially the NasDem Party to accompany Anies. Meanwhile, the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) once made a popular beating forum and produced Ganjar Pranowo's name as a presidential candidate and Yenny Wahid as a candidate for deputy.
