Anwar Usman Make Sure The Constitutional Court Is Ready To Handle The 2024 Election Result Dispute Lawsuit
JAKARTA - Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court (MK) Anwar Usman ensured that his party was ready to face the 2024 General Election (Pemilu), including facing a lawsuit related to the Dispute over General Election Results (PHPU) later.
"Our preparations have had a lot of experience. We are ready in everything, including infrastructure and regulations to support the trial, including the PMK Constitutional Court Regulation which has been prepared, made. Everything is ready," Anwar said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, August 10.
Anwar said the Constitutional Court was ready to face criticism that would later be sent to the judiciary. According to him, criticism is a reflection to improve so that the Constitutional Court will be open to all constructive criticisms.
"We accept even bitter criticism as it is, but whatever criticism, input, notes, we remain istikamah to enforce the constitution," he said.
Apart from that, Anwar said the Constitutional Court could not satisfy all parties.
"It cannot satisfy all parties, this is certain. In all such judicial institutions, not only in the Constitutional Court, including judicial institutions in the Supreme Court," he said.

The Constitutional Court held a Special Plenary Session for Commemoration of the 20th Anniversary. According to Anwar, this 20th anniversary is a reflection of the two decades of the existence of the Constitutional Court in the Indonesian state system.
Anwar invites all parties to increase commitment, synergy, and cooperation in order to realize a stronger and more meaningful constitutional civilization for Indonesia.
The Constitutional Court has completed 3,512 decisions in the span of 20 years since it was officially formed on August 13, 2003 in line with the passing of Law Number 24 of 2003 concerning the Constitutional Court.
The details of the decision are 29 State Institutional Authority Disputes (SKLN); 676 Decisions on Dispute Over General Election Results (PHPU); 1,136 Dispute Case Decisions on Regional Head Election Results (PHPKADA); and 1,671 Decisions on Law Testing Cases (PUU).
