Ankr Becomes An RPC Connectivity Provider For Base, Coinbase's New Blockchain
JAKARTA - Coinbase's new blockchain developer Base has announced its strategic partnership with Ankr, a leading blockchain infrastructure service provider, to provide RPC nodes and connectivity (Remote Procedure Call) to the Base network.
This announcement comes ahead of the launch of the mainnetpublic Base which is scheduled for August 9. Ankr's RPC connection to the Base network will open up new opportunities for developers in building decentralized applications (dApps) on top of networks that have reliable communication performance and fast onchain transactions.
Through the API RPC solution presented by Ankr for Base, the developer will have easy and fast access to start the construction of the web3 application. This solution has been clearly registered in Ankr's website documentation as one of the providers of nodes in collaboration with Base. This will facilitate developers in integrating key features of the Base network into the dApps they created.

Base Creator and Protocol Head at Coinbase, Jesse Pollak, shared his views on the important role of node providers in supporting the dApps ecosystem in Base. He said, "Node providers are very important to support the builders who implement their dApps in Base, and we are excited to work with teams like Ankr who help provide a strong foundation and help us realize the vision of bringing the next billion users into the blockchain."
In the view of Chandler Song, Co-Founder & CEO of Ankr, cooperation with Base will have a positive impact on the more integrated and standardized blockchain ecosystem. "Ankr is very happy with the potential of a more integrated and standardized blockchain ecosystem with OP stacks from Base and Optimism," he said.
Scaling solutions presented by Ankr and Base create new opportunities for more actively participating web3 users. Then, Ankr himself will present endpoints for public mainnetBasedan testnets, and will also offer a paid option for developers through their RPC Platform.
The company will introduce a freemium approximation model, where developers can access endpointsBose for free, while also providing Premium and Enterprise level packages for larger project needs. These packages will offer advanced features such as WebSockets, telemetry, IPwhitelist, and special infrastructure.
