Threads Bring Many New Features, Now You Can Share Other People's Posts Via Instagram DM

JAKARTA - Threads again get a lot of new features. One of them, can share other people's posts with Instagram Direct Message (DM).

In its announcement on Threads, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said the app would get three new features this week.

Users can now share posts with Instagram DMs. This feature is useful when they browse Threads and find something they want to share with friends, rather than having to send text messages.

This is a new Meta way so that its social media that is interconnected does not lose its active users, rather than having to use the iMessage, Google Messages or anything that doesn't belong to Meta.

Zuckerberg also brings an alternative text feature specifically for photo and video content. To add an alternative text description, users must create a post, then attach the media using a paper clamp icon.

Then, click the Alt button in the image. The new feature aims to improve accessibility for visually impaired users.

There is also a new name button to make it easier for users to mention someone's account in their Threads.

Furthermore, Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri also expressed Threads support for rail=me links where users can verify their identities on supported platforms, such as Mastodon's Fedive social media app.

Launching BGR, Thursday, August 10, Threads is known to have added many features since its launch more than a month ago.
