Regarding JIS Renovation, Minister Basuki: Decided Tomorrow
JAKARTA - Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono opened his voice regarding the follow-up to the renovation of the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS). He said the results would be decided tomorrow, Wednesday, August 9.
"Tomorrow (it will be held in a meeting), let it be clear," Basuki told reporters in Bogor, West Java, Tuesday, August 8.
Basuki said that a number of related parties would be invited to discuss this, namely PSSI General Chair Erick Thohir, Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora), and Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta.
Then, there are the Governor of West Java, the Mayor of North Jakarta, and the Regent of Bandung.
"We invite (them) to plan at 11.00 WIB at the PUPR Ministry Building," said Basuki.
In this case, the Ministry of PUPR will work on a pedestrian bridge (JPO) that connects JIS and the Ancol area with a length of 450 meters (m), so that it can be an alternative to and from JIS.
As previously reported, the Minister of SOEs and the General Chair of PSSI Erick Thohir said that the follow-up to the renovation of the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) would be decided in the near future. According to the plan, the decision will be made on Wednesday, August 9.

Erick said that there had been talks from PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) regarding the renovation of JIS. Although he said the stadium belonged to the DKI Provincial Government, Erick did not deny the contribution of central government funds to the construction of JIS from the start.
