Box Office Prints, Barbie Film Reaches IDR 15 Trillion Less Than A Month
JAKARTA - Barbie film continues to set a new record as box office. The film has raised $1.03 billion or equivalent to IDR 15.2 trillion in the third week of its broadcast.
Launching Variety, this figure was obtained by Barbie film from the release of 17 days consisting of North America with 459 million US dollars and 572 million dollars internationally.
Barbie became the second film with an achievement of over 1 billion US dollars after previously The Super Mario Bros. with 1.35 billion US dollars.
It looks like Barbie's achievements will continue considering that this film is still showing in theaters. The film has not yet been released in several countries such as Japan and the United Arab Emirates.
In addition, this film makes Greta Gerwig the first female director with a film income of billions of dollars.
