JAKARTA - A man named Firmansyah (25) from West Bandung was found dead on the banks of the illegal railroad (KA) crossing KM 9+2/3 of the KMT POK Hulu Line, Pembina 2 Street, RT 02/06, Kayumanis Village, Matraman District, East Jakarta, Thursday night, August 3.
The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Matraman Police, Iptu Trisno, confirmed the incident. According to reports received, the incident occurred at 23.15 WIB.
"We received reports from residents that there had been a death toll from being hit by a train, then the members left for the crime scene. It turned out that the victim was found dead," said Iptu Trisno when confirmed by VOI, Friday, July 4.
When first found, the victim's body was in the middle of the railroad crossing on Jalan Pembina 2, RT 02/06, Kayumanis Village, Matraman.
From the identity card of the victim, it is known that the victim was registered as a resident of Bojong Tangkalak Village, RT 03/03, Sindang Kerta Village, Sindang Kerta District, West Bandung Regency.
"The results of the examination of the body showed that the victim suffered serious injuries to the head. Then the victim was taken to the RSCM for further treatment," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations of the Matraman Police, Ipda Bambang Zainudin, added that based on the testimony of a witness named Dunia, the victim was previously seen walking in a hurry to the illegal crossing on Jalan Pembina 2.
"Along with the train passing from the direction of Senen - Jatinegara, the witness immediately looked at the location and the victim with the initials F was lying in the middle - middle between the crossings of 2 railway lines," he said.

Until now, the case is still being handled by the Matraman Police Criminal Investigation Unit. As many as 3 witnesses have been examined, 2 witnesses from residents and 1 person from PT KAI officers. Police are also still investigating the cause of the death toll.
Separately, the Daily Public Relations Manager of KAI Daop 1 Jakarta, Feni Novida Saragih explained, the man was run over by the KRL train of the Kampung Bandan - Bekasi relationship between Kramat Station - Pondok Jati. PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta deeply regrets the incident.
"The penemper (victim of the train-red collision) was then handled by the local police and evacuated. No train trips were disrupted during the incident," he told VOI.
