Vice President Invites People To Strengthen Each Other To Face Challenges, Not To Demolish Each Other

JAKARTA - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin invites all elements of the nation to strengthen and support each other in facing the various challenges faced by the nation in the future.

This was conveyed by the Vice President in his tausiah at the 78th Anniversary of the Indonesian Independence Day National Remembrance and Prayer event at the Merdeka Palace courtyard, Jakarta, Tuesday, August 1.

"As Allah says in the Qur'an, let's all be friends, like one building. Yasyuddu ba'd humanitarian ba'dhon, each other strengthen each other, not to knock each other down, but Yasyuddu ba'dffu ba'dhon, strengthen each other to support each other," said the Vice President as quoted by ANTARA.

The vice president invites all elements of society to feel like one body, where when one member is sick, the other feels sick too.

"This means that those who have high solidarity," he explained.

According to the Vice President, if this is done, no matter how big the challenges are faced, the Indonesian nation will be able to overcome it.

The Vice President said that Indonesia, under the leadership of President Joko Widodo, was free from COVID-19, was even able to grow the economy above 5 percent.

According to him, this should be grateful, because it can be achieved thanks to the support and prayers of all Indonesian people as well as the ulama and also thanks to the help of Allah SWT.

However, new challenges come again, including uncertain global situations, energy crises, food crises and also El Nino.

Therefore, the Vice President invites all elements of the nation to face this situation by strengthening each other while continuing to pray to Allah SWT. "Let us face this uncertain situation and the government under the leadership of President Joko Widodo has prepared various instruments to deal with this," said Ma'ruf Amin.
