TANGERANG - Soekarno Hatta Airport Customs and Excise secured a woman from Kenya, 7 months pregnant. The woman with the initials FIK (29) was arrested by officers for carrying 5.1 kilograms of methamphetamine.

Gatot explained that the arrest began with officers who suspected the perpetrator's luggage departing from Abuja, Nigeria-Doha on a Qatar Airlines flight QR 1434. Then, he continued from Doha-Jakarta with flight number QR 954.

Furthermore, during the FIK examination, they only carried a backpack and backpack. At that time, officers did not find any violations even though the number of items brought was less.

"The perpetrator still has one luggage in the trunk. The officers also managed to find three plastic packages containing methamphetamine hidden on a fake wall at the bottom of the suitcase weighing a total of 5,102 grams," he said

Gatot said the methamphetamine was brought by the perpetrators with the aim of sending Central Jakarta. On that basis, his party coordinated with the Central Jakarta Metro Police.

"The plan is that Jakarta will be handed over to someone in Jakarta. This is still under development," he said.

FIK can be charged with Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with a maximum threat of the death penalty or life imprisonment.
