Asia Africa Festival 2023 Claimed To Strengthen Citra Indonesia, Which Loves Peace
The Daily Executive (Plh.) of the Mayor of Bandung, Ema Sumarna, stated that the Asia Africa Festival 2023 event had a positive effect, not only for the City of Bandung, but also for Indonesia in strengthening its image as a country that loves peace.
"Of course this is a very positive event that is not only for the benefit of the city of Bandung, but also for strengthening the image of West Java and hopefully also to strengthen the image of Indonesia, which loves peace and loves brotherhood," said Ema at the Asia Africa Festival (AAF) 2023, Bandung, as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, July 29.
The event that carries the theme of the Universe of Creative Culture, continued Ema, to strengthen brotherhood between Asian African nations.
"Hopefully the creativity of cultural arts that is displayed is not only entertaining and making each other more familiar, but can also be the glue of brotherhood between Asian African nations," said Ema.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Asia Afrika Confrence Museum, Dahlia Kusuma Dewi, welcomed the entire community and delegates from 17 countries who attended the 2023 Asia Africa Festival.
Dahlia explained that the Asia Africa Festival has a basis on the values of the 1955 Asian Africa Conference to prioritize the values of solidarity, world peace, and the strength of Asian African countries to the whole world.
"This historic conference, a milestone that is important in world history," said Dahlia.
Dahlia explained that Asia Africa Festival always promotes inclusiveness and world solidarity.
Therefore, he hopes that in the future there will be many cultural collaborations that will take place from the Asian-African nations through this festival.
"This is the spirit of Bandung for the world," he said.
In the committee list, at the 2023 Asia Africa Festival there were dozens of participants who appeared, including from outside Bandung, such as the tak-thakan art from Tuban, traditional clothes and Minahasa dance, then there were also from Lampung. There are also groups of participants who will wear Asian-African costumes.
From Sundanese soil, there are barong and benjang arts,aurk dances, then nusantara dance costumes, soap coffin trains, egrang. In addition, lion dances and lion dances, the BOBoko creative economy community from Ciamis, with the band marketing from the Gita Pakuan group will open a parade line.

The Asia Africa Festival 2023 is known to be attended by a number of officials from within and outside the city of Bandung such as Plh.
