Persecution Of Drug Perpetrators To Death, 7 Members Of Polda Metro Become Suspects
JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya has named 7 members of the Directorate of Drug Crimes as suspects in cases of persecution. They were involved in acts of violence against criminals that led to death.
"There are 7 people who have been convicted," said Director of Criminal Investigation of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Hengki Haryadi, to reporters, Friday, July 28.
The police officers named as suspects had the initials AB, AJ, RP, FE, JA, EP, and YP. They have now been detained.
There are 9 persons from the Directorate of Drug Crimes who are involved in handling cases. However, one of them is considered not to fulfill the criminal element. While one other person is still a fugitive.
Especially for one member who did not fulfill the criminal element, continued Hengki, it was handed over to the Propam Polda Metro Jaya. Later, he will be examined according to the code of ethics
"One more was examined ethically at Propam, one person is still a DPO," said Hengki.

But it has not been explained in detail the series of acts of persecution carried out by these police officers. Hengki only said that his party was still investigating this matter.
"We will investigate further, whether this team at the time of carrying out activities is based on a warrant, we will examine then why they commit violence executively and so on," said Hengki.
In this case, the seven police officers were presented under Article 355 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 170 of the Criminal Code, subsidiary to Article 351 paragraph 3 of the Criminal Code.
