Was Sentenced Free, Now Drug Dealers In Palangkara Become Fugitives
PALANGKARAYA - The Palangkaraya District Attorney, Central Kalimantan continues to pursue Saleh, a methamphetamine dealer who was sentenced to seven years but until now he cannot be executed because he fled and became a wanted list (DPO).
"DPO Saleh is still hunting for his whereabouts. The Prosecutor's Office is pursuing and cooperating with all parties from BNN, TNI-Polri who are in the local area. If there is information, please inform them so that an arrest and execution can be carried out as soon as possible on the decision of the Supreme Court (MA)," said the Head of the Palangka Raya Kejari Andi Murji Machfud, Friday, July 28.
It is known, in this case the Palangka Raya City District Court Panel of Judges previously acquitted Saleh of the 200 gram possession of methamphetamine on May 24.
The judge stated that Saleh alias Salihin was not legally and convincingly proven guilty of committing a criminal act according to the demands of the Public Prosecutor (JPU).
Saleh is considered not to have been proven to have violated Article 114 Paragraph (2) of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 Year 2009 concerning Narcotics in conjunction with Article 55 Paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code and the 2nd alternative indictment, namely Article 112 Paragraph (2) of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 Year 2009 concerning Narcotics.
Because he did not accept it, the Prosecutor also made an appeal and the Supreme Court sentenced Saleh to seven years in prison and a fine of Rp. 1 billion, subsidiary to three months in prison. Stated that the defendant Saleh was legally and convincingly proven guilty of committing a crime without rights or against the law in controlling class I narcotics in the form of non-plants exceeding five grams.

"We are looking for it and at first Saleh was acquitted so he was outside. This means that he did not run away, but did not obey the court's decision, so now we are looking for the person concerned. In essence, we have made the DPO to this day still pursuing it," he explained.
He added that he always got information regarding Saleh's whereabouts, even though he had not been caught.
"We are still chasing it and I also always get information, so we continue to try to make arrests," said Andi Murji Machfud.
