Minister Of Religion: The Search For Missing Hajj Pilgrims In The Holy Land Has No Time Limit
Minister of Religion (Menag) Yaqut Cholil Qoumas said the search for missing Hajj participants in the Holy Land did not have a time limit.
"I have ordered the officers, especially the linjam (district protection) there to continue to search for our missing congregation without time," said Yaqut after welcoming the return of the Hajj officer at Soekarno Hatta International Airport (Soetta), Tangerang, Thursday, July 27, confiscated by Antara.
He said the search for missing Hajj participants could be declared complete if the Saudi Arabian authorities stated that they could not be found.
According to Yaqut, his party continues to strive to find the missing Hajj participants during the implementation of the peak of worship.
The Ministry of Religion reported that previously there were eight Hajj participants who were declared missing, seven of whom were found. While the other one on behalf of Idun Rohim Zen (87) is still in the process of being searched.
"A total of three Hajj participants who were found dead," he said.
Yaqut has coordinated with the Saudi Arabian royal authorities, both with the police and with the Search and Resque (SAR) Team.
"So I ask to find it. Hopefully it will still be alive. Even if you have to accept the reality, for example, in a state of death, we have to treat it well, I think that," he said.
