Corruption Judge Rejects Exception Of Irwan Hermawan Etc. Related To BTS Corruption
JAKARTA - The Panel of Judges at the Corruption Court (Tipikor) at the Central Jakarta District Court rejected the objection note or exception of the Commissioner of PT Solitech Media Sinergy Irwan Hermawan regarding the alleged corruption of the Base Transceiver Station (BTS) 4G."The trial stated that the exception of the defendant's legal advisory team, Irwan Hermawan, was declared unacceptable in its entirety," said Chief Justice Dennie Arsan Fatria during a trial at the Jakarta Corruption Court, Antara, Thursday, July 27.In addition to Irwan's exception, the panel of judges also rejected the objection note of the other two defendants, namely the President Director of PT Mora Telematika Indonesia Galumbang Menak Simanjuntak and Account Director of PT Huawei Tech Investment Mukti Ali.The panel of judges concluded that the objections or exceptions submitted by the legal advisers of the defendants were not based on law.According to the panel, the indictment of the public prosecutor (JPU) has been prepared carefully, clearly, and completely regarding the criminal acts charged against the defendants."Likewise, the time and place of the crime committed by the defendant have also been contained and contained in the indictment of the public prosecutor formally and materially," said the judge.For not receiving the exception, the panel of judges ordered the prosecutor to continue the examination of the case on behalf of the three defendants.Irwan, Galumbang, and Mukti together with other defendants were charged with harming state finances amounting to Rp8,032,084,133,795.51 in the case of alleged 4G BTS corruption and supporting infrastructure packages 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 BAKTI of the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kemenkominfo) 2020 – 2022.A number of parties who benefited from the development project, namely former Minister of Communications and Informatics Johnny Plate who received money amounting to Rp17,848,308,000.Then, the President Director of BAKTI and Budget User Authority (KPA) Anang Achmad Latif received Rp5 billion and Indonesian University Human Development expert Yohan Suryanto received Rp453,608,400.Furthermore, Commissioner of PT Solitechmedia Synergy Irwan Hermawan received IDR 119 billion; Director of PT Multimedia Berdikari Sejahtera Windi Purnama received IDR 500 million; and Director of PT Basis Utama Prima Muhammad Yusrizki received IDR 50 billion and USD 2.5 million.
Furthermore, the FiberHome Consortium PT Telkominfra PT Multi Trans Data (PT MTD) for Packages 1 and 2 received Rp2,940,870,824,490; The Huawei SEI Linta Consortium for package 3 received Rp1,584,914,620,955; and the IBS Consortium and ZTE Packages 4 and 5 received Rp3,504,518,715,600.
